Haiku of the Week Archives: July 2023

Drip, drip, gush, pour, drip…

Sun umbrella drips,
The barbeque, a bird bath.
Summer in Ireland.

It’s on again, off again weather…

Seizing the moment,
bees weigh down herb flower-heads
still wet from the rain.

The hooded crow pair at the end of the garden are big characters…

Hoodies bark hoarsely,
shout at, or with, each other.
Not caring who hears.

Love is in the air…

Hoarse with his desire,
the dog fox calls to his mate.
A jay eggs him on.
