Haiku of the Week Archives March 2023

Wonderful light…

Suffused with pink light,
soft mist envelopes the sea
Unseen crow calls twice.

Waking at dawn has its compensations…

Blackbird song-cascade
Slips, sweetly, through the static
of soft, falling rain.

Ceo éadrom uisciúil,
Giúiseanna ag sileadh.
Feannóg bháite.

Flat calm…

Tide calmly reflects
Mirrored wagtails soar and dip
Swan feather becalmed.

Ooh, that wind could cut you!Even the daffodils…

Daffodils huddle,
cringe before a dagger wind.
No day for “pretty”.
