July 2013

What a month! This wonderful Summer continues to restore – or repay! our faith…

Night’s breath warm and sweet,
Honeysuckle hangs heavy.
Tree-caught moon spills light.

Ahh, these halcyon days continue…

Swifts’ black, sickle-hooks
slash the blue sky to ribbons.
Sun stacks shadows high.

Baking in this heat. Black, orange, blue.

Orange roof-lichen,
sky-blue complementary.
Jack daw sits, heat-stunned.

Ahh, Summer at last! After how many years’ waiting?

Dusk air is heavy;
thick with daisy-bush honey.
Drunken moths fumble.
