February 2017

Plenty of rain this month…

Slowly rusting shed
draws tight its rough ivy shawl.
Rain finds a way through.

Spring springing…

Daffodils’ bright flares
shine through through misty undergrowth.

Finally, a dry, sunny, if chilly, day…

Coaxed by bright sunlight,
misty tendrils curl upwards.
Like the blackbird’s song.

Rain, more rain and the inevitable floods…

Angling duck-arrows
pierce the sky-reflecting lake.
Floods paint the fields blue.
