September 2015

The seedum are spectacular, the bees and butterflies agree…

Heavy cerise clouds,
droning with the weight of bees,
kissed by butterflies.

Flat-calm sea today…

The lazy, green swell
lifts guillemot flotilla.
Gannet pierces glass.

Fascinating to observe the corvid hierarchy…

Crows claim the carcass.
Raven first. Respectfully,
rooks and hoodies wait.

The cat and the magpies just don’t get on, they can’t resist teasing him and he just, well…

Magpies engage in
staccato conversation.
Cat’s tail twitches.
