June 2013

An amazingly profuse year for olearia bushes, lining the road to Bantry in immense masses….

Roadside blossom clouds,
rolling off-white cumulus.
Highway through heaven.

Clacking conversation of magpies, coming and going to & from the highest point around, bringing morning news reports…

Treetop magpie troop
discussing the waking town.
Sun turns their black green.

Walking the hard strand, ebbing tide, gorgeous upsidedown images…

Wet sand reflects sky,
vast space stretches beneath me.
My feet in the clouds.

Can’t believe this weather; after nearly three years: perfection….

Calm, tea-dark river,
flowing, gives back the clear sky.
Petal stars drift by.
