May 2013

Day begins….

Liquid-voiced song-thrush
sings the dawn into being.
The early dream-time.

In still, loch reverse,
snow-flecked mountains scale the depths.
A buzzard swoops low.

Dawn, just outside Plockton, the loch flat-calm…glorious, glorious…

Otter’s whiskered snout
pushes a vee through water.
Past sunrise-peach clouds

Nature. Beauty in the least expected places…

Unlikely peacocks,
dung beetles trundle by with
irridescent flash.

The train up through the Highlands, stunning…

In flat, river fields,
rise mole-Alp crescents.
